Cabin Classes

Economy

Economy cabins contain seats with a pitch of 34 inches. The in-flight menu includes a choice of Asian- or Western-influenced meals, as well as a range of beverages. Special meals can be made if requested prior to the flight. Selected aircraft have seat-back touch screens featuring audio/visual on demand entertainment systems.

Royal Silk Business

Long haul Royal Silk Business Class cabins contain either angled lie-flat shell seats or electronically reclinable seats with a pitch of 60 to 62 inches. Seats also feature in-seat telephones, power supply and 10.4 to 15 inch touch screens, depending on the aircraft. On flights longer than 4 hours, passengers are provided pillows, blankets and a travel kit containing a selection of toiletries and cosmetic products, masks, socks and toothbrush sets. The in-flight menu includes multi-course meals served restaurant style in individual courses, with a choice of main dish. Flights also include a full complimentary bar service. Selected aircraft feature audio/visual on demand entertainment systems offering hundreds of movies, TV shows, music and games.

Royal First Class

Royal First Class cabins contain 180 degree lie-flat beds that feature lumbar massage, in-seat telephones, power supply and 10.4 inch touch screens. On flights longer than 4 hours, passengers are provided blankets, pillows, linen, porcelain, crystal, sleepwear and Rimow amenity kits. Flights longer than 6 hours provide passengers with masks, slippers and pyjamas. Royal First Class passengers are welcomed on board with a glass of Dom Perignon, Bollinger or vintage Champagne. Royal First Class passengers departing Bangkok can pre-order their in-flight meals from a gourmet menu, or simply choose from four gourmet meals with flexible meal times. A premium bar service is also available including aged whiskies, Napoleon brandies, a full range of ports and liqueurs. Selected aircraft feature audio/visual on demand entertainment systems offering hundreds of movies, TV shows, music and games.
Baggage
Economy passengers are allowed 1 piece of 7kg hand luggage, 2 pieces of 23kg (total) checked baggage when flying to North America and 1 piece of 20kg checked baggage for all other destinations. Royal Silk Class passengers are allowed 1 piece of 7kg hand luggage, 2 pieces of 32kg (total) checked baggage when flying to North America and 1 piece of 30 kg checked baggage for all other destinations. Royal First Class passengers are allowed 1 piece of 7kg hand luggage, 2 pieces of 32kg (total) checked baggage when flying to North America and 1 piece of 40kg checked baggage for all other destinations.
Check-in Options
THAI offers web check-in from 24 hours until 2 hours before departure time. If checking in at the airport, check-in closes 40 minutes before departure time.
Rewards Program
The Royal Orchid Plus Member rewards program allows members to earn points when they fly with THAI or use the services of their affiliated partners. Accumulated points can be used towards flight upgrades, extra baggage and other benefits with THAI and its partners.
Lounges
THAI has 8 lounges located at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport, and a range of lounge types in 15 other domestic and international airports. The lounges include Royal First, Royal Silk, Royal Orchid and Royal Orchid Spa. Each lounge varies in services and facilities, from à la carte dining and slumber rooms in the Royal First Lounges, to a buffet bar and shower facilities in the Royal Orchid Lounges and a range of spa treatments at the Royal Orchid Spa. Access to each room is based around fare type. Royal Orchid Plus Gold and Star Alliance Gold card holders have access to Royal Orchid Lounges only.
